SCHWARZSCHATTIGE GEFÜHLSWELTEN is the name of a series of 72 photographs taken on the island Högbonden in the region of the natural reserve at Högakusten, Sweden.  

The images are overexposed and then inverted to create a dark, dreamlike sensation of the enchanted virgin forest.  

The empty nature serves as a metaphor for social isolation while living in a foreign country.
